I made Onde-Onde last nite...

My galfriend, Doris, came over on tue nite for dinner. We ended up in the kitchen doing Onde-Onde together for our coffee session much later on. Thanks stan17, a forum pal for sharing her recipe. It was still soft the next day. Btw, the colours are beautiful, aren't they? No colouring added ok, the colours are from the sweet pototoe itself. This recipe is definitely a keeper for me.

Hi Cranberry,

I guess u are really a genius in baking!! :)
I recently enrolled myself in a baking class at a CC too, hoping to enhance my baking skills. Well, I am thinking of getting myself a better electric beater (my old one is those hand held kind), so can you tell me which brand is better?

Tks :)

I'm looking for a cake mixer too and the handheld one I have is tiring for me. I came across I think a kenwood one (if not wrong about the brand) which I really like as there is a cover over the mixng bowl so nothing flies out when mixing. But all of them are so expensive? The cheapest is $300plus!. Goodness!

Wow, that is very nice but I find it doesn't work for me as I don't have a large kitchen and as it is, I have tons of stuff so can't keep it anywhere if I do get it. N it's super heavy too. Kitchen Aid is great, but it costs a bomb.
